The Neverending Story. Bastian could be the librarian or the dad now, and there could be the return of characters such as Falkor, Atreyu, Rock Biter, and the Childlike Emperess. Endless possibilities for episodes.

Pretty much any John Hughes film, if they could get the actors.

There was a brief Ferris Bueller TV show, but it John Hughes wasn't involved and it flopped.

If John Hughes was involved with the orginal actors like you said, that would have been be a great idea!

I would say the 1979 version of Salem's Lot. The ending of it felt like there was going to be more... Unfortunately, it's been so long since that was made, and David Soul died so they would have to recast the lead and I wouldn't want that.
