Aisha?

that character was canned rather fast.

and we need more episodes with Moon.

reply

My guess is they fired her because she was not white

reply

Yeah, they would do that. Just because she's not white. The people who make the show are Aryan Supermen who somehow f'ed up and hired her in the first place, then saw their mistake.

reply

There is not enough diversity in this show. Thats my only complaint. They should have a student who is openly gay and accepted by his classmates. And they could also have a transgender student, which the new Saved by the Bell did such a great job with

reply

You just have to ask yourself two questions.
What is this show about? How would skin color\LBGT quotas contribute to the creative ideas of the show's authors?

reply

White privilege has controlled Hollywood for far too long. More diversity makes for better TV

reply

Good art makes better TV. Any quotas not based on creative ideas make shit TV.
Art doesn't owe anything to anyone. You want art furthering your favorite ideological\religious agenda - make your own. And let people enjoy what THEY like.

Nazi leftist control freakazoid nothingburger!!!11

I think I did that right... oO

reply

I believe Miguel may be transgender in real life, so at least they've got that...

reply

Ok so they should be highlighting this issue on the show. Transgender issues within high school should be addressed here on this platform

reply

Why do you think being transgender is an "issue"?

reply

Its a very important issue in todays schools. My college professor told me that

reply

@millsey72 You know one "ironic" post would have been fine but making post after post of this crap just makes you comes off as a strawman sock puppet .

reply

I liked the character and thought they could have used her and her relationship with Sam better than they did.

reply

I have to wonder if maybe there were some on-set problems with her because the character was popular. The fact that they wrote her off the show doesn't seem like a creative decision.

reply

I think there is more that they're not saying - as to why she didn't return. There's a few sketchy things about the situation.

reply

It seems strange that they couldn't just further reduce her role instead of writing her out entirely. I mean there are numerous random Miyagi Do and Cobra Kai kids who have been around since the beginning who they could have gotten rid of.

reply

You do that but and you piss off her fans, fans were complaining that she hardly had anything to do in Season 2.

reply

aisha's the one who's getting a spinoff. her and chozen.

reply

Now that I've finished Season 3, I don't see how they could have fit her character in there. At the same time, I don't think her relationship with Sam is resolved so I would expect to see that be addressed in Season 4. This season, Sam was isolated because of her fear of Tori. If Aisha was there to support her, I don't think they could have had Sam reach rock bottom like that, lose her ability to do karate etc. So I think Sam's whole storyline depended on NOT having Aisha around. At the same time, these kids are in high school; friendships with other girls should be a bigger part of Sam's life than romantic relationships. I think a big part of Sam's problem is that she is in the middle of this romantic conflict with Robbie and Miguel, but doesn't have a trustworthy female friend she can go to for balance. Each of the karate teams only has one girl. It's not really a good environment for either Sam or Tory, IMO.

They should have got rid of Dimitri instead I hate him whiner
