So, people go to highschool until they are 40 in the US?

Why is it that in every teen/highschool setting in the US, the juniors/nerds are 13 year olds, while the seniors look like they are closer to 35?

(apart from the girls, who look like they are 25).

Do you have a tendency to re-enroll 3-4 times for every year at school?

Do you have an issue learning basic language and math? =D

No, seriously, am I the only one that has noticed this insane age-difference in just about every move portraying schools in American movies?

Why do they do this?

Who of the school kids looked like they were 35?

reply

The fat guy looked like he's 40.

Doctor Who at the dance?

reply

He his (almost). Stingray is 38.

I didn't see that in this show.

Maybe you are talking about a background actors but all of the main kids in the show actually does look like teens

reply

Maybe because they just can't find actors in the age range around 18?
The real stars that can make a living out of acting do not play in highschool series, they are all in the big movies and what's left of the 18 yr olds probably has no time to act in TV shows but is busy studying.

Reminds me of the Bowery Boys movies, which started in the 1930s and continued through the late 1950s, when the "boys" were weathered middle-aged men.

I didn't even know "Cobra Kai" was still on. I checked out after the first couple of seasons.
