I had read that this project was canceled. Today I read production is starting.

Anyone know?

yeah is still is set for 2024 its in Post Production

Filming completed February 2023 overseas. Production took about 3 months. However Thunder Road Pictures was not happy with the result and large reshoots was planned spring 2024 with a new crew overseas.
Unsure if the reshoots are complete.
Release is summer 2025 now.
