When the three bullies catch up with Finney after his martial arts friend goes missing and they beat him to a pulp, I was quite surprised that his sister would go after them with a rock; that one victim of a blow to the head looked like he had a skull fracture, he was bleeding so much!

Same later on with the big teenager at the pinball machine, he looks like he was ready to kill the other boy who ruined his game!

i thought the same thing, i was a teen back in the 70s and school yard fights weren't that vicious.

This is when the movie started to take a shit. Like, get real. The kids acted like they just got out of prison. It was over the top unbelievable.

Kids were vicious in the 70's, I was a kid back then and saw some very rough fights.

Got my ass beat a few times when I was a kid back then. Won a few too. It seems like there was a fight every day in school.
