I really enjoyed what Tarantino attempted yet so much was crammed into one film with all the plot points, it would have worked so much better as a season for a TV show or say a 3 part mini series.

I think Tarantino wrote / is writing a book to expand on the movie. I think I also read somewhere that he's producing a movie / series about Bounty Law, the fictitious series-within-the-movie that starred Dicaprio's character.
I'm not sure that it would have been better but I would have liked a mini-series too. This movie is great as is but I think it could have been longer. A 5 or 6 part mini-series would have been quite entertaining.
shareGotta say I’m glad it was a film. And as you can see, many felt the same way. Sure I could definitely see it work as a series, but then there’d be no point in Tarantino directing it. This was designed for the big screen and I thought it accomplished what it had to overall (I don’t think it needed to be expanded, ya know?).
On that note, I would like it if Tarantino ends up making that Bounty Law series. Who knows if it’ll even happen (won’t be surprised if it isn’t) but it’d be cool.
I think it worked very well as a film but the characters and setting were written strongly enough to carry several episodes of a mini series. Personally I'd rather stick with the one film.
