What a colossal waste!

It was SUCH a brilliant idea! A fading young tv star and his stunt/wing man are living on Cielo Drive in 1969 when new neighbors move in...

Imagine if Sharon's death had been the motivation for the men's actions. Two different reactions:
1. Rick channels his grief into his acting and turns in a career-changing performance on Stacy's tv show.
2. Cliff shows up at Spahn Ranch to make a more external display of his grief. He could either butcher the family or butcher a bunch of lookouts so the cops can raid the place.

1969, not 1968.

Fixed, thanks!

My pleasure! :)

Yeah, it was a strange movie. It was like an endless series of red herrings as to what the plot could have been, and it didn't take advantage of any of them.

Well put!

If it hadn't been into the "changing history" mode it would have been a good movie.
