Can someone answer a question regarding Morf? (spoilers!)

Did I miss something regarding his death? Where did that doll/robot come from. The museum? Out of thin air? I don't recall ever seeing it earlier in the movie.

This movie could've been really good. It was suppose to be a horror/thriller, but instead it spent WAAAY too much time concentrating on the ups and downs of relationships in the art world.

The robot was an exhibit in the Miami art show at the beginning of the film. God knows how it got to the lock-up, if it was even really there at all.

It was a pretty muddled film overall, but a lot of fun!

While I liked the art world part, and thought the horror/thriller part was unnecessary.
