Don't forget Vincent & Theo, Robert Altman's film with Tim Roth as Van Gogh. Wonderful film and performance.

I love At Enternity's Gate, really surprised it isn't up for any award consideration. Especially Dafoe's performance. It's a lot better then it's 7.1 on IMDB. It's a tough call but I'm a fan of Julian Schnabel, I think Basquiat, Before Night Falls and especially The Diving Bell and The Butterfly are all fantastic films. I think it's every bit as good as Lust for Life.

Dafoe got a Best Actor nomination.

It’s incredibly easy to imagine Dafoe as Van Gogh in this. It really makes the film.

It's a little different perspective but I liked it much better than Lust for Life.
