Utrax [spoilers]

Anyone have a theory about why all the subjects were female? The three possibilities that come to mind for me are:

1) Something about their gene editing technique leads to all the embryos being female.
2) Women are more likely to be assumed harmless, making them more effective infiltrators.
3) Male subjects are at a separate facility. Probably to avoid the distractions that come with boys and girls mixing.

I found it interesting that they were being trained in US geography and history. That seems to suggest they're not intended for covert ops outside the country, but to be embedded within the United States. To hunt down terrorists? Assassinate troublemakers and rabble rousers? Facilitate a military coup? The agency's plans for their genetically enhanced super-spies is unclear. You can bet it's going to figure prominently in season 2 though.

I thought it was interesting the way those two other girls looked at each other on the plane. Something tells me 249 isn't the only one who's slipped her chains. That could be another complication. Just because they go rogue and escape doesn't mean they're going to play nice in the outside world.

Not sure why they are all females , i think it will be explained in season 2 , even Hanna asks Erik in the last episode : "they are all girls?" or something like that , but i think you could be right about male subjects being in a different facility.
