These are completely different movies. I liked Midway but I did not like the video game type action sequences in some parts of the dive bombing scenes.

CGI was ordinary. Play Station quality.
Characters were too gung ho. The people they portrayed were heros, but the screen play was like characters in Armageddon or Independence Day.
SPR leave this in it's dust.
