Take out the comedy and it could have been great

The comedy was not funny and it’s what ruined the film ,if he was purely focus on the horror it could have been great and if it gave a better explanation to what was going on and what was going to happen.

I thought the movie was amazing; but even I admit the comedy was out of place most of the time.

I disagree, I think the comedy was fine, it’s not like it was used frequently or it undercut every scene with a joke or the tension was ruined because of a joke. We still got a really good horror/thriller film so i’d hardly say a few jokes ruined it. Can’t wait for Peele’s next film to be honest.

I just saw this with my friend and she said the same thing. I don’t get it, I like the comedy as it normalises the situation and that’s scarier to me than constant tension.
Peele lulls you into a false sense of security. Kinda like life.

The comedy was out of place. It just made the situation seem not as dire as it actually was. Very strange indeed. I liked the movie and the message. Very thought provoking for sure.
