Bruce's problems on Glass set

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10669119/Bruce-Willis-announces-diagnosed-brain-condition-step-away-acting.html

Willis had previously been seen using an earpiece to allegedly feed him lines in his Broadway debut in Misery in 2015, and an unnamed insider also told OK! Magazine last year that he was struggling during the filming of M. Night Shyamalan's 2019 film Glass.

'While filming Glass, staffers worked around him by cutting and editing and having him overdub lines because he struggled to remember and/or deliver them,' they told the publication, according to the New Zealand Herald.

'In most scenes on Glass he's hooded, and they used stand-in and body doubles to replace him. On set, he wouldn't smile and was always chaperoned by an assistant to guide him while walking.'

Perhaps a reason why Dunns role wasnt as big as expected, and had a underwhelming end?

reply

Sad to think he might have been showing signs that long ago.

reply

Wow... that's really sad, but M. Night did a fantastic job working around that limitation.

I guess we'll always have to wonder what could have been if Bruce had been properly healthy to deliver the finale as Dunn the way we had wanted?

reply

Oh that's depressing.

reply

Damn. I was presuming that it was just intentional; I feel like both Jackson and Willis had significantly less screentime compared to McAvoy because of costing issues. I'd hate to think that the creative decisions in play were motivated in part because of Willis' condition.

reply

totally heartbreaking.
