Ok, thanks. It'll be interesting to hear what Hans comes up in Dune...

IMHO I feel Zimmer's best work is behind him. Hes lacking the momentum now.

I don't think so.

He had a 3-4 years low activity period. But he was working really hard for years, sooner or later he had to slow down for a while. It doesn't look like he lost inspiration, though, it's more like he decided to take a rest. And it seems he's back, he has quite a lot of projects running right now.

Blade Runner 2049 and Dunkirk were a bit meh as film scores, but every composer has highs and lows... I wouldn't rule him out yet. Dunkirk was experimental film making as a whole, so its not surprising it affected the score as well. According to IMDb he seems to be very busy right now. No wonder he didn't have time for Tenet.

Im not arguing, I just feel that HZ best work was in the 90`s
Ludwig Göransson aus an up and comer and his best work so far is The Town That Dreaded Sundown (2014)

Wow, that's good. A pity it's wasted in a shitty movie.

I looked at imdb, he's the one behind the Mandalorian soundtrack, which is very good too.

He's in his 30s right now. Could he be the next Zimmer?

Even though it was due to unavailability (or in other words, Zimmer chose to work on Dune instead as it’s something of a passion project for him), it’s cool that someone else is going to score a Nolan film for a change. Love Zimmer and what he’s done with Nolan (his last score for a Nolan film was brilliant - haters gonna hate), but as perfect as the two are together, it’ll be interesting to hear something much different in a Nolan film. Ludwig is a top-tier composer and the idea of him scoring a Nolan film is exciting to me. (His Oscar-winning score is masterful btw, elitists be damned.)

And oh -
His best work from the 2000’s & 2010’s> 90’s Zimmer
2049 & Dunkirk “meh” and he’s “losing momentum”? K booma
