Decent movie and Brosnan is shining in his later years
I generally see anything thriller/action/drama Pierce has put out since he left Bond. He's done some great stuff. He is now a silver fox and leans into it perfectly. In this one he plays a southern fixer (accent and all), but it's not so much an action movie as a slow burner. It starts off oddball and fun, but slowly as the plot unfolds it becomes a lot more serious.
Pros: Brosnan has never been better. The Southern setting is refreshing and seeing Biloxi and New Orleans instead of some nondescript city is refreshing.
Cons: The shots of them in the car look so bad. It's clearly fake and it takes me out of the scene... and they have a lot of scenes in the car. Morena Baccarin was wrong for the part and she seems to be kinda sleeping through the role.
A random stranger's opinion: It's nothing new and it ends as predictably as you would suspect, but if you're a fan of little thrillers and seeing Pierce on the screen you'll be entertained the whole way through.
