Sad this got cancelled after 1 season

I think nerds will enjoy this as well as JCVD fans. Had some hilarious moments like that blindfold drift race, him trying to hold the hanger doors closed with the splits and so on. The ending was pretty epic Timecop possibility but we'll never get to see it come to fruition.

Where can I partake in this lovley show!

It's on Amazon Prime...

I still prefer the movie JCVD... That was an excellent movie. You can get it on DVD/Bluray or on iTunes...

So was he like spoofing himself or what?

reply

Pretty much. It's like action in his real life self while parodying his all time favorite past time movies doing iconic moves he's done in them. It then blurs with him trying to get back into the action biz while real action takes action while filming both actions at the same time.

This more or less sums up this show: https://youtu.be/Wfg1c8dyZYM?t=8s

A little bit, but it's also his way of being critical of celebrity culture not just from a media point of view, but also critical of his own search for fame... It's like he has a sense of irony about his career, so it's done in a funny way as well as being heartfelt... Je Suis "Aware" πŸ˜‚

In the series, it's even more comedic and there is a bit of making fun of the way the world is now and how out-of-Place an action hero is in this world... Everyone makes fun of hipsters and such, so it's not that new, but he takes it further because you see how much we miss having a masculine Jean Claude type in movies these days...

It's a lot of fun... Lots of strange situations, crazy over the top characters (e.g. the director) and some cool JCVD moves...

Now... Where's my coconut water? I need to wash my face πŸ˜‰

yeah, and it ended on a pretty interesting note - I think they wanted to take season 2 into the future war with tons of sfx - perhaps that's what got it canned.

This was wonderful.
