The cell phone = wasted chance

Once she picks up the cell phone, I felt like she made some big mistakes.

First thing she should’ve done was check how much juice was left in the phone’s battery. Once she saw that there was little juice left, then she’s gotta conserve her usage. Instead, she goes walking around holding it up in the air for like 10-15 minutes and tries to leave a voice message for her mother.

Her phone must’ve had google maps. Surely, she could’ve pulled it up and tried to get a sense of where she was and in what direction the nearest road is. Even if the road is too far away for her to walk towards, the closer she gets to it, the better the odds of getting a phone signal.

If she doesn’t get a signal in one spot, then turn the phone off and try again when get in another spot. Don’t hold it up consistently and walk around.

She wasted words on the voicemail too.

Should have said where she was driving, where she thinks she is, name of a road she remembered etc instead she left a long rambling message tovher mom

Totally agree. That was just one of many ridiculous mistakes she made. The first being that she just stood there and waited for those guys to get out of the car and approach her.

Did you ever recognized how much battery power is needed just to start Google maps? No good idea to waste it in that situation...

After trying for a minute or two she should have turned it off and try again later on a different location.

Yeah agreed with all the points here.

Turning the phone off and back on would also have wasted valuable juice.
