I watch Good Girls to look at Christina Hendricks. I don’t give a damn about anything else on the show. I binged the 1st 2 seasons on Netflix, but Netflix pulled it before I could get through Season 3. I’m now watching Ep. 4.1. The last I knew, Annie had a confused daughter who wanted to be a boy. Now I see they’re calling her “him.” 1.4 percent of the US population identifies as transgender. Let me shout that out: ONE POINT FOUR PERCENT. Do you honestly feel that only 1.4 percent of TV shows and movies are wallowing in transgender propaganda? Because I don’t. I’m not even talking about finding it personally offensive, because I don’t. I’m fed up with transgender being a lazy, facile go-to “edge” for moribund writers, and also possibly for folks in entertainment who have the agenda du jour to push and how know that most audiences are easily seduced.

When I’m looking for pulchritude, transgender is the last thing I want shoved in my face.

yeah it is totally fucked up how much they are pushing this sick shit. i had a client tell me they are bringing in and talking about trannies to her 7 year old child at school. man i miss the 90s the world is so fucked up these days it makes me sick

At least it can sometimes be avoided with movies by reading the reviews in advance. It’s when it pops up in a commercial in the middle of a TV show that’s absolutely ridiculous. Like the Gillette razor commercial or the Ritz cracker TV ad. It completely gives the impression that media companies are shoehorning into everything.

YES..YES I DO...1.4%WOULD BE 1 TO 2 SHOWS OUT OF A HUNDRED FEATURE A TRANSGENDER CHARACTER...AND GIVEN THE HUNDREDS OF STATIONS,PLUS STREAMING PLATFORMS...THERE ARE LITERALLY THOUSANDS OF TV SHOWS...THAT MATH CHECKS OUT.

I have known four personally, over the last couple decades.

I suspect most people know one or two without knowing. Two of my friends moved to new areas once they transitioned to avoid being known to bigots.

Also, it's transgender. Welcome to 2010. You're welcome.

I am not and only one of the people I know is in the arts. She is a painter and also works as a life model at an art school.

One works retail, one works in a courthouse, the only one is deceased.

My friend that works retail came out to use in the early 90's, without even proper language to explain what he was feeling and he was terrified. Which is one reason why representation is so important. When you think you are the only one that feels that way, it is really scary. After he fully transitioned he moved with his wife and step son several hours away from home, for a fresh start where nobody knows his past.

My deceased friend killed himself, one year after the death of his father, whom, on his death bed, still refused to acknowledge my friend properly, or tell him he still loved him. This is another reason why representation is so important.

Gender Dysphoria is about 1/10,000. That's 0.01% of population.

The remaining 1.39% are not really people with Gender Dysphoria. They're just people who want to be "special". So according to that statistics we could say there's a (at least) 1.39% of morons.

Your comment makes it sound like they hired the actor and then the writers found out she was transgender and then wrote the storyline. That's ridiculous, just saying. I do agree with the OP and I don't give a damn what sex anyone wants to be or who anyone wants to have sex with.

Post a link to prove that. I find it hard to believe they hired the actress and didn't know her situation. Then found out and said oh great we can write that into the show.

so whats up with Hendricks kids seems sort of sick portrayal of a mom and when the show started her husband was a wanderer she is supposed to be the brains of the group they need to make her back to how she was in the beginning and yea guess they forgot her sisters kid was supposed to be a girl so now they just make it a boy lame
