i want to be honest , my only purpose for making this response is to bring you pain, misery and embarrassment.
first let me say i did watch the suicide squad on friday , i very much enjoyed it and it's going to bring me no joy to illustrate the depths of this movie failure.... instead my joy will come from the pain, shame and embarrassment get from this movies failure
and it brings me tremendous joy knowing that you will now know how much DC failed yet again.
It was just reported that the Suicide Squad is now on track to make somewhere between 26 and $30 million on opening weekend.
I do not believe there are words to express the absolute failure of that box office result.
It's almost Incomprehensible that a sequel could lose that much of an audience from its first film...
Sure, it's horrifically embarrassing that Suicide Squad looks set to make less then the flop birds of prey, which opened to a horrible 33 million opening weekend.
Sure, nothing could illustrate DC's failure more then Black Widow opening to 80 million plus and then DC opens a film ONLY a month later to 1/3 of that
but what truly illustrates the stunning and almost unbelievable failure of Suicide Squad is if this film comes in around 30 million or less... that means 80% plus of the audience that saw the first Suicide Squad film didn't come back for the sequel....
Which then also means the first Suicide Squad was an absolute franchise killer, it means the first Suicide Squad movie was so awful and so HATED that literally almost every single person that saw the film didn't show back up for the sequel
and just so you know I'm not over blowing this, here are some tweets from professional box office analysts -

#TheSuicideSquad opened #1 at FRI #boxoffice with $12.15M incl THU pre-shows. CinemaScore is B+. Full opening wknd for R-rated pic looks headed to $26-28M neighborhood which will be well below $39.5M opening DAY of PG-13#BlackWidow from a month ago. Both had streaming option.
^^ box office analyst noting the suicide squads total weekend won't even match black widow's opening day

WB's THE SUICIDE SQUAD barricaded the box office with $4.1M in previews last night--that's nearly identical to BIRDS OF PREY, which went on to debut with a disappointing $33M.

The spin is in.
WB tacked this on to the press release for THE SUICIDE SQUAD's $4.1M debut:
Pandemic Record: Largest Thursday Pre-Show for an “R-rated” Film
Pandemic Records. Just...nope.
^^^ laughing at WB trying to spin this awful result

Don't get too attached...to blockbusters opening in this marketplace.
DC's THE SUICIDE SQUAD got leveled, debuting with just $12M on Friday, which includes $4M from Thursday previews.
^^^ the Suicide Squads opening weekend is so awful this box office analyst is now thinking it might change the course of blockbusters being released...lol... the Suicide Squads opening weekends so horrifically awful they are questioning if Other studios are now gonna think maybe they should just start delaying movies again

The OG SUICIDE SQUAD dropped $64M on opening day while THE latest version drummed up just $12M--a difference of 81%.
We all know the reasons, but that's just not sustainable for a $185M film...unless those HBO Max subscription got juiced something fierce, and actually hold.

so in conclusion just think this time last month you had a big smile on your face trolling that Black Widow wasn't doing good when it opened to a $80 million opening weekend
Fast forward only a month later and here you are facing a 3rd DC failure and unfortunately it seems the Suicide Squad is going to be the biggest failure of all
