Between Hollywood's devotion to the cult of the far left and the fact that it's a good movie, this one should take the big prize.

I think Christian Bale deserves an oscar - but the movie itself... it doesn't really bring anything new to the table.
USA is governed by psychos - none of whom ever go to prison - we all knew that - and this film doesn't make a point powerful enough to expose just how broken the system is at this stage.
