As Vice and wife are heading to bed the script lurches into dialogue between them I believe from Hamlet. Brilliant on so many levels but what's your take on that; personal entertainment, emphasize the power behind the man, to portray their belief that they were playing roles in some world stage epic? Why this trope?

The gimmicks in this film fell flat, imo. Alfred Molino as the waiter reading off policy decisions. The credit roll in the middle of the film.
