I was prepped to enjoy this movie to some degree but could not understand anything that was going on.
I hate that too, because Leslie Uggams was in this (as with the other Deadpool movies) and me and my late father took a picture with her when she was young at a celebrity signing function in 1983.
I guess it's supposed to mock multiverse superhero movies, but it's one too. Just a collection of random scenes and cameos with immortal characters and nothing ever really at stake.
It is a fan service movie, nothing more.
Pretend it is a parody, that would probably work, at least on the first viewing, then erase this movie from your memory, and don't think about it again.
Yeah its pretty much like an SNL version of XMen/Fox Marvel, Im pretty sure that how Jackman approached the idea of doing it after closing the book on XMen/Logan. to do it serious like before (basically playing the same character but different version from alt timeline who was even more angst than in Logan), and putting up with this wall breaking clown from the hugely successful previous 2 films (which are the biggest XMen films even bigger than DOFP) in a total nonsensical plot about different timelines/multiverse bs (which was already broken in with the phenomenon of Spiderman NWH and Dr Strange MOM). Plus it will be been convenient to get him away from his soon to be exwife lol

Was it the Cameos and call backs. Because you have to be familiar with the FOX and Disney Marvel universes and the Loki series to get them all.

For example, sling rings can not travel between time lines, that was well established, and ignored in this "movie", if you can even call it that.
Yea i caught that too but i just wrote it off as she got the ring from a Doctor Strange from different universe or timeline where maybe things work differently.
shareDoctor strange can't travel between timelines without taking that Chavez girl's power, the Chavez girl did not need sling ring to travel between timelines.
So I would understand Cassandra read the mind of a wizard, and took Chavez girl's power like Doctor Strange did.
Still it would have nothing to do with sling ring.
If Cassandra punched a pentagram hole in space and jumped through it I would not have any problem.
I don't think the writers they hired even watched all the Marvel movies.
I didn't see what the big deal was.
