In the last fight in limbo, Gambit, X-23, Elektra and Blade go in knowing they are not leaving and probably won't survive.
Deadpool wouldn't care but does anyone really believe Wolverine would just leave them there, especially knowing one of them is his doppelganger's daughter?
Logan would have found a way to get them out or die himself.

Did they die? I thought X-23 was sitting at the table next to Logan at the end. Deadpool asks the black lady to help them, so I don’t think they’re dead
