Was there enough MCU? (spoilers)

The film was obviously chock full of pre MCU Marvel with all the Xmen (Jackman obviously as a variant but pretty similar to the OG 'Logan' version complete with guilt of dead XMen, x23 from actual 'Logan', the end of 'Logan' grave opening thus confirming 'Logan' was actually the XMen timeline not its own thing, same Pyro/Sabretooth actors, and all the non reprising actors as Juggernaut, Toad, Psylock etc - either supposed to be same versions or variants like Cavillrine, and the main villian the sister of Charles - presumably younger McAvoy version), Fantastic 4 (I read they considered bringing back all of the lambasted 2015 Fan4 before settling on just Evans from 2005 F4 for the fun Cap fake out), Daredevil (Elektra), Blade (New Line), even Tatums lost Gambit, but no Cage Ghost Rider (although Ryan asked him, I guess Cage had been burned by his Flash cameo of which he wasn't happy) or Sony Spiderman (obviously bc of NWH) or Bana or Ferrigno Hulk (which would've been cool for the Wolverine v Hulk scene).. I imagine any leave outs like Cage, Affleck, Bana etc will turn up in Avengers Secret Wars anyway (in addition to various ones we see in this)

But MCU there wasn't too much especially when you consider it was supposed to be DP (and Wolverine) coming into the MCU (of course by the end they arent in the MCU they are back in the now secure FoxVerse X universe presumably with 2 Logan's and Laura's now, a'la Cap at end of Endgame), . I mean there was the Happy interview scene (which was supposed to have RDJ as was set 2018 pre Infinity/Endgame but dropped when they found out RDJ was coming back in next Avengers), there was the TVA and the onscreen footage from Avengers/MCU films (including Thor mourning DP which was actually augmented footage from The Dark World), and obviously the Chris Evans Cap fake out scene (where they had him looking like he had Cap's costume on with similar hair and Cap like demeanour, before the 'flame on' reveal)

So it was more a swagsong/celebration to the pre MCU Marvel/Fox/NewLine stuff . a way of that stuff sort of 'fighting back' at MCU after having been discarded ..

Yeah. It was more a Fox movie than an MCU one.

Fox's Endgame

I believe Reynolds has said it was a tribute and farewell to the Fox Marvel-verse.

That was also one of the reasons for dropping the She-Hulk endcredits scene. Not to mention it also would have been incredibly lame, bringing on She-Hulk, who's series failed, to put Deadpool in his place and show she's the best at breaking the fourth wall. Yeah, right.

I'm glad they got rid of the She Hulk end credit scene.

Now even MCU is trying to forget her lol https://x.com/CultureCrave/status/1858945364247953609

SO basically Fox movies are better even when Disney pays for production ...
