Does this prove

That the superhero genre is not dead but the stupid studios would rather push agendas than making good movies that would please the fans and bring in shitloads of money?

I think it does ...

I think this is definitely worth another viewing soon. Truly, this movie is a standalone and was designed to do one thing and that was usher in Wade Wilson to the MCU officially and now, the possibilities are endless.. I did enjoy the HULK making an appearance as a HULK vs WOLVERINE Matchup would be something

I'd say it proves that the superhero genre is not dead, but that cinema itself is dying. People simply aren't going to the movies as often as before, and rather than seeing everything that comes out they instead choose 1 or 2 films each year to see. When the hype around a film is big enough, it becomes the one to see. They wait to stream everything else at home.

Also, the economy is in the shitter so most can't afford to go to the theater to see everything like they used to and the ticket/concession prices are outrageous these days. When I ask people why they don't go to the theater anymore, the answer is usually money related.

No genre truly dies. But they just need to feed good stuff to the audience. If it’s good, we’ll find out. Hollywood doesn’t need to do anything different, they just have to do everything better

The erotic thriller died years ago.

Probably because today, they wouldn't be able to agree which of the 167 sexes/genders the main characters should be. Basic Instinct and Fatal Attraction were too heteronormative.
