Meh...

I loved the first 2 but now that disney owns the deadpool franchise and seeing what happened to the dumpster fire guardians 3 and whatever Indy 5 was (pre-bought tix to both with too high of expectations I guess), this one is definitely a "wait to stream" flick. Just my humble opinion, either way I hope its awesome...

I'm still skeptical on Disney allowing them to go full throttle on the profanity like the other 2 movies now that they own it and it's still classified as Disney being "Family Friendly?

reply

Given what Disney has become, I thought GotG 3 was excellent.
And wasn’t there an F bomb or two in it? I could be wrong on that, but regardless, I feel that GotG remained true to itself and was void of any overt Disney type influence.

reply

Ya, James Gunn actually got full creative freedom on that one. Which genuinely surprised my friends & I.

Cause most of these newer MCU films feel very "factory made". Ya know? Like it was made by a "committee" & not a creative writer or director.

Also, it had one F-bomb. PG13 movies get one free F-bomb.

reply

Exactly, this. I felt that GotG 3 was made in the same vein as The Suicide Squad, weird and strange (the good kind), dark a/f and wholly original.

reply

That's why I was disappointed with Multiverse of Madness. It had flashes of Sam Raimi'a style but it was just mostly another "committee movie".

Imagine if they just gave him that movie. Ya know, a proven good director. And be like, do your thing.

DUDE...GUARDIANS 3 WAS EXCELLENT.

reply

I'm glad you enjoyed it.

reply

He enjoys most of the generic things the studios cater out to the masses.

reply

FALSE.

reply

How'd you like the 2016 ghostbusters film?

reply

IT'S NOT VERY GOOD...MEDIOCRE AND OVER-FILLED WITH NONSTOP DIALOGUE THAT WAS CLEARLY IMPROVED AND NOT VERY FUNNY.

reply

Ok we agree on something. I will edit my above comment.
