Decent Movie
Nothing spectacular but worth a watch, decent storyline, abit of love, hate, anger and twist.
If you liked upgrade, district 9 or chappie this ones worth a watch.

I agree. Thanks for the recommendation.
shareImdb says it opened last weekend in Canada. Not here! Streaming somewhere?
shareJust saw it and it was good indeed.
I do like the similarly themed Freaks a lot more tho.
I just watched it and would give it a solid, if not spectacular, 6.5/10.
What is most shocking is the budget. Apparently it was made for just $2.1 million.
Usually if you see a movie made for such little money it's some talky indie drama, but they show here that you can make a genre film with some action, a solid dose of visual effects, and even a few actors you might recognize for just a couple of million dollars. I would like to see other filmmakers with similar ambitions come along and show us what's possible on a small budget like this.
What's really shocking, considering the budget, is the literally THOUSANDS of people listed in the end credits!
shareHa. I can't say I noticed that. It makes you wonder if a lot of the people who worked on it were working either just for the experience or were being paid the bare minimum.
shareI’m pretty sure all the hundreds of people listed in the end credits, (besides the people who worked on the movie) are all the names of the people who crowdfunded the movie through indigogo.
On IMDB it says they were trying to get $200,000 to make the movie and they ended up raising $1,700,000.
I think there’s a sequel coming out too which I will happily watch as I enjoyed this one and was blown away to see how little it was made on.
Ah, okay. Well that makes total sense. I knew nothing about the financing.
I'm surprised they were initially only trying to raise $200K. How were they going to make this movie on $200K?
Yeah, that's about right. It was decent. Not bad, not great.
Just something to watch if you can't find anything else.
It’s good. ‘Matter of fact, it was better than I expected it to be (tho I never have high expectations for films released on Netflix, there’s been some really solid ones lately). Interesting film.
shareI really appreciated this film's commitment to making nothing easy. I want to avoid spoilers, but stuff with Nia's character and the complete arc for Connor - that was really impressive. They also avoided having the cops just be monolithic nasties. I was expecting a fun, interesting action flick about superpowers, but I got a lot more than that.
