You can thank Peter Dinklage for the CGI dwarves
He was the one that caused the drama that lead to Disney deciding to go that route. Funny of him to call the casting offensive after he made his fame and money playing a dwarf.

shareWhen it comes to ego and arrogance, Dinklage is a giant.
shareNo, this is entirely on Disney. Dinklage never asked the roles go to non-dwarf actors.
shareWhat a bitter little jerk.
shareI hate Dinklage and his constant "Badass" stare. His acting skills are non existent. And now he is gatekeeping all Hollywood roles for little people.
shareHe climbed several spots on my list of the most disliked people in Hollywood. What is wrong with this asshole? It’s not as if the dwarf community has a wealth of job opportunities in the industry. I was genuinely curious to see how real actors would bring the Seven Dwarfs to life—it could have been legen… wait for it… dary—legendary! Instead, we’re stuck with yet another CGI disaster. That said, the blame doesn’t rest solely on Peter; the directors and producers who allowed this to happen share the responsibility.
Peter is doing just fine and staring in movies along side of Josh Brolin. He doesnt care.
shareI like how Dinklage has appointed himself King of the Dwarfish community.
shareHe better watch what he says or else he'll be back doing that paralegal crap with Mickey.
