Predictable & cliched AF

The cast is great. Some brilliant actors & actresses. Shame the script is meh

It's a tired & recycled plot that we've seen in multiple film & tv show episodes. It's honestly been done to death.

Just like the time loop/groundhog day plot being run to the ground. But at least that 'trope' has had some decent to creative writing in the past few years.

This on the other hand is nothing special & doesn't do anything creative or standout with the 'Rear Window' rehash

It felt like it was five years too late. Like it was supposed to be released the same time as Gone Girl or The Girl on the Train.

There was one that was similar-ish released around that time. It had Giovanni Ribisi as a cop & I wanna say Selma Blair too but I don't know. I barely remember it

For me, this felt like an early 2000s film. Felt like they released it in the wrong era. 😅

Not that predictable.

I doubt many viewers guessed all the twists before they happened, or got them completely right.

And the final red herring before the last twist was pretty good, even if the last twist was meh.

I'd say the first 15 minutes were lame, but when the mother came in, the film became engaging from that point forward.
I didn't see the twist coming - but what is true is that these films often point finger at one person, while another is the guilty party. My initial thought was that this woman was the actual killer - and when the father came in looking for his family, she had them gagged in the basement. All in all, my theories kept changing as the plot developed but I honestly didn't see the final twist coming.
