i am not, thank you very much

This will be a great movie I already have my tickets.

reply

Yeah, it's a shame.

But I'm sure I'll rent it at some point.

The REAL Lion King was one of my favorites as a kid, so I'm going to cave at some point just to see how it compares, but I completely agree with you.

It's so easy for Disney to rehash everything they've ever done. There is no creativity or originality left, and Disney knows they don't need that to make billions of dollars. Just rehash the classics.

I don't cave for all of them, but I'll probably rent this one just to see how it is.

Ok you might like the film when you see it or not but with John fabreau as the director I can tell you it won’t be a Frame by frame copycat.

He will respect the essence of the original but his version will feel completely new, check the jungle book which was directed by film same essence but still felt like something new.

But maybe Disney asked him this time to stay closer to Original Lion King.

His jungle book film was darker than the original with a whole different ending. It was a happy ending but much more different.

In the original jungle book the monkeys were funny in the new one were creepy, also in the original baloo was always a good guy and got closer to mougley by genuine likeness he wasn’t the opportunist he was in the remake.

So really If you don’t want a copy paste frame by frame remake you might get lucky with this or you might not because it could be that Disney asked him to stay totally faithful to the original with way less changes than The ones he did the first time.

Ever since Michael Eisner, Disney has been a mindless, soulless cash machine. How George Lucas didn't know that they would just do the same routine with "Star Wars" is beyond belief.

reply

Nobody should ever remake really good movies.

The remakes always miss whatever it was that made the original good.
