anyone else enjoying this mini series?

been watching this , pretty good, it's not like they were Jonestown massacre or anything, they made money at gun shows and were davidians , EVEN had a Harvard graduate there

pretty good mini series, way better than the OJ mini series, ,

i feel like a pervert every time i listen to my sharona now, so there's that

I just stumbled across this on the net and wow I was shocked. The accuracy of the narrative told from both sides really impressed me. This feels like a long (but not boringly long) feature film. I was engrossed from beginning to end. (Also My Sharona is now a creepy spine chilling song instead of an 80’s fun dance tune for me too)

Yeah you forgot to mention he was marrying under age girls as well.

Just because there was a Harvard graduate in there it doesn’t mean they were regular Law-abiding people -the unabomber graduated from there too

Legal in the state of TX starting at age 14, with parents consent.

reply

False, in the state of Texas, the age of consent is 17.
Also I’m pretty sure it doesn’t include polygamy

reply

In 1993 it was 14.

But regardless, no one can give a valid explanation as to why the government agencies acted as they did.

reply

Dude google is your friend.

reply

Legal in the state of Texas as long as the parents consent to marriage. Get your hating facts straight.

Loved it. Watched it the other day cause some family was over and fired it up on netflix. Never heard of it before. We all sat there and watched the whole thing. Could have been 4 eps. It was a little padded. But very interesting. Only ever heard the media's side of things.

As I just mentioned to someone in another thread, if you ever want to see an excellent documentary about Waco then watch Waco: The Rules of Engagement. It was made in 1997 and the filmmaking style feels dated today, but it's an excellent film that will make you think hard about what really happened in Waco, TX. The film was actually nominated for an Academy Award.

reply

It was quite well done.
