I don't think that was the aim the director/writer was going for, I was expecting a Before Sunset/Sunrise type romance but set in Columbus, Indiana. With them just spending the running time with Casey and Jin as they walk around the city and eventually they both fall in love. But I think it's more like Lost In Translation of the older guy meets the younger woman and it's just lonely people who need each other's company at that time in their lives and they kind of heal each other in a way. With Casey holding back on dreams cause she's worried about her recovering addict mom and Jin with his love hate relationship with his famous dad.

I think I loved the film more that it didn't go down the romantic route.
