Was a bit hard to get into ... but it is overall fantastically done ... 10/10

but as I watch it and got engrossed ... this is a great story, a relevant story, and a well told and well directed story. Sascha Baron Cohen is an above average straight actor, mostly because he is not the best looking person in the every scene, as would the case in American or a normal story, which makes it more realistic.

He is actually hard to look at and he acts weird, kind of like a sprinkling or Borat or something, but it really works, and you really get a sense of what these countries were like 50 years or so ago. The role is perfect for him, and the story is believable.

I am just on episode 3, but the series is really done well, and professionally ... which is it a joy to watch after so much garbage on NetFlix and Amazon Prime in general.

I give this series a 10/10.

I really enjoyed it as well. I was somewhat familiar with the story and knew his fate before hand so I really dreaded episode three. I thought Cohen’s performance was so believable and as you said realistic because his acting seemed authentic and went against the Hollywood formula. I would recommend this miniseries to everyone.

I may binge this. Thanks.

Yes I think it gave a good idea of what the near east must have been like in the 60s before the Islamic fundamentalists took over.
