Enjoyed the season
2.3:
June on the run, is hidden with the black family. Then she looks out the window and makes eye contact with the boy, what the fuck.
Family is late for 3 hours. She leaves the house?! In a neighbourhood where everybody knows everybody?
2.5:
God this series is gruesome: First the blood in the vagina of June, then the lost teeth in the radioactive place.
What is even done there, well.. (radioactive material after a war?)
They have soo much military personell, every 10 metres someone is standing with machine gun.
2.6:
Nick has first sex with Eden.
A hole in a sheet?! Omg.
2.7:
Funeral of handmaids that died in terrorist attack of the handmaid?
It didn’t look at the end of 2.6 like any of them were catched by the blast actually.
Black woman looks at fotos of dead people in canadian govnernment. Why does canadian government have photos of dead people in america?
Serena commander wife rats out the new investigator Cushion, so the eye arrests him - what did she say about him? Old sins he did in his old life?
2.8:
They let handmaid Janine see her baby.
Much more kindness than in the 1.5 seasons before. Whole thing has a bit more different feel to it.
2.9:
Aunt Lydia says her godchild from the time before died on day 4. 'It was not my fault'. Does she think it somehow was her fault and this makes her be protective of babies?
Ex-Gileads singing "America the beautiful", that went into the heart.
2.10:
Birth. Dejavu to season 1.
'Commander Horce - newly promoted for his wife's pregnancy' - 'No handmaid for you then'.
So there is
- unwoman = 'sinners' who are fertile, used as handmaids for commanders
- Normal families like the black family, man+woman+child with no martha or handmaid
(or is that just leftovers from the before-time?)
- Single unfertile women become martha's?
- Men who are up in the ranks are commanders and get a wife. If baby doesn't happen and commander is up in the ranks enough he gets handmaid?
- If baby does happen with wife, he gets promoted to commander and gets no handmaid?
Commander lets June see her child Hannah.
Very surprising that Hannah's new parents let her do that. (how could they not know it, when the child hannah surely tells it somehow afterward)
Ok, later it was clearer, when Commander and Commanders wife look for June in the house. Doing the last ritual (raping June) was Commanders wife Serena's idea. Commander felt bad about it, did this big feat arranging a meet of June and Baby. And Commander knows he is not the father??-Cause Serena tells him then. Cool intense scene.
2.11:
June takes off her red cloth - then she puts on another red thing? Why not the green dress of commander's wifes? Would be the best cloth, wouldn't it?
2.12:
Aunt Lidyia 'Prideful girls don't get any cooky' - seldom i have to laugh out loud watching this show.
2.13:
June tells the Martha of the house that she slept with Nick. She already knew, it was no big thing. Seems it's an open secret in this house.
Oh damn. Janine killed Aunt Lydia. Just when she had a great interesting place to be. Damn. She short-circuted.
Fuck. June does not go with them. Argh.
