Did they drop Penny altogether?
I'm over half way through the final season and still no sign of her. Did they really write her off by sending her to an asylum never to be heard from again. They could have just killed her off in some dramatic way or had her leave town to give her character some finality. Having her wither away in an asylum forever just seems dark.
