Decent fighting Movie

Similar lines to the Headshot/merantau/ong bak sequels and other movies but not full on martial arts or gritty but decent attempt for a columbian movie.

It was meh for me, sad to say. Even though it's heart was in the right place.

It's definitely flawed and nowhere near as brutally violent as say Headshot was. You can tell Jailbreak was made on a small budget and it showed at times. I didn't like the comedic character of the Playboy, just took me out of the film. I wish the Female villain and her gang had more central role in the film and were more kick ass. Also didn't like the love subplot, felt it was thrown in and it seemed like Dara, the female police officer just switched from Tharoth to Jean-Paul in a flash. Didn't like how one minute Dara went from kick ass to Damsel in Distress, needing Jean-Paul to save her. Shame as they ruined what could have been a awesome female action hero. It lacked a charismatic star like a Iko Uwais or Tony Jaa to carry the lead. Also none of the action scenes were really that great.

But it was a passable 90 minutes, I'd give it 5/10.

I definitely agree this could have been done so much better with the cast, the plot could have been alot more tighter and consistent, they definitely didn't include enough female kick-ass action in this but for a Columbian fighting movie it was decent, (never knew there were any Columbian movies never mind a decent action one) i wasn't going in expecting chinese, korean or thai fighting or a Tony Jaa, Iko Uwais, Jackie Chan or Jet li but it wasn't too bad.

Personally i thought Headshot wasn't that great abit boring and not enough fighting but more of a gritty/gore action/drama - i'm more in ong bak fighting or raid movie actions or chinese stunt/action movies.
