If Dana Gould is such a hack, why has he had a 30 year career, with multiple Emmy Awards, in a business where most people don't last even 10 years and rarely sniff an Emmy nomination, much less seven Emmy nominations.

Did you "seriously" just get pissed off? By the way I did not actually call it a rip off I merely asked if it was going to be, you can tell the difference by the little question mark at the end of the sentence. AvED compares to AOD, more so than ED 1 or 2 if we are going strictly by films you would use the third installment, but we don't have to because AvED exists and specifically mentions the prior films as cannon. If we were going simply by titles, Stan Against Evil or Ash Versus Evil, then yes you could make an argument based solely on AVED's existence without actually seeing either.
shareLol he won two Emmys for one episode of the Simpsons... his career honestly is not as impressive as you are making it out to be. The concept for this show may have been in development for a while, but it was clearly only greenlit because of the success of Ash vs Evil Dead.
