The Orville ship name
The Orville should have a brother ship called the Wilbur, this would be the Wright thing to do.

shareThey're just winging it at the moment until the series takes flight, then maybe come Season 2 we might see him appear orville not. ;)
shareI want to see a female character named Kitty Hawk.

"Takes flight"?
The term is "takes off" - something that your pun-wannabes failed to do.
(The original poster's pun was good).
Good thing you showed up a year later to shut down this mismanagement of punning. Self proclaimed pun experts forget that all puns are bad.
>grips final space atop bat handle<
Actually, "take flight" can mean either fleeing or taking to the air.

Shut up and stop advertising your ignorance and rudeness.
shareWhy did they leave out a way to recommend a post ... that was funny.
shareDoes that mean that anyone on the Orville can't keep it up for more than 12 seconds?
shareAt first, I didn't understand the ship's name, until I saw the ancient early 1900s plane on Capt. Mercer's desk, then I realized where it came from. Orville and Wilbur Wright, the first people to attain man-made flight successfully, and it fits the ship very well.
