Really enjoyed this movie. But I was hoping someone could tell me what the point was of making Bradley bash his way into block 99 at red leaf to kill someone that never existed. Was it to make him suffer and get locked up for even longer than his original sentence?

Did the warden permit that drug dealer to be there or was that the guards doing?
The drug dealer was held there and he wanted playback... and so, their setup made him come to them. And than just to torture him every day or whenever they felt like it.
