It's ironic you call her ugly because if you look at pictures of the real Mollie Burkhart you'll see that Lily Gladstone is actually more attractive than her. It wouldn't make sense to try to cast the most beautiful woman possible for this role.

I actually find her quite pretty but she is rather big which I think was the point. But tbh I thought Leo looked horrible in this.

love interest!?!? lol this isn't a romantic comedy. If they'd had a 20 something Sports Illustrated model Leo would have been happy but it might have taken from the gritty realism.

this is also the ugliest leo have ever been. coincidence? really though, the casting was right. if this woman was also extremely attractive, do you think she would marry a fucking wannabe taxi driver? i think they made his face look semi retarded too. even the fbi agent mentioned his uncle took advantage of his disposition. they probably cast a woman way more attractive than one who would marry a man like him in real life.
