I’m playing devil’s advocate here... why is it that Goodfellas gets praised and gets called a masterpiece when Hustlers is kinda the same movie?
Both movies involve criminal activities and making money illegally... both have degenerate characters in seedy/shady setting
But yet Hustlers gets called trash culture and gives the wrong message to young females
Interesting comparison. Made me realize that in both movies the "friendships" were entirely based on making money. Once the money dried up, so did the friendships.

I wouldn’t call Hustlers trash, and I felt a similar distaste for the characters as I did for those in Goodfellas. I think what it was missing was gravitas.
J-Lo’s body though 😯 Impressive. Not a bad performance either. Not Oscar worthy by any reckoning, but the fly girl can certainly act.

Sexism. The backlash against this movie is nothing but sexism. How many movie about male criminals are there? And a bunch of women robbing rich assholes piss you off? Maybe you should take a look at yourself.
