Did they have to call Orphanage workers and scout masters pedophiles?

Their “dark humour” casts a dark shadow over those who do work with young boys and girls.

We are going to end up with no men looking after boys, EXCEPT pedophiles if we keep tarnishing all with the same brush.

I feel you. Just from a comedic perspective it stopped being funny after the first 8 times.

reply

Yeah, how many pedophile jokes did we need?

reply

Also seems like the running theme of the movie. Running, already not-so-funny jokes into the ground.

reply

Yeah, flog a dead horse. Not as bad as Austin Powers III though.

I agree. In fact, these workers were only suspected by Deadpool to be pedophiles. Yes, they were weird, they tortured the mutant kids, but still there is a difference. That makes more disturbing the scene where DP and Cable kill them. The moviemakers showed the workers as thugs "defending property", but their brutal deaths were morally justified to the audience because of the assumed pedophilia.

They just wanted to recreate (rip off) the church scene in Kingsman. But man, they failed miserably.

I honestly never understood why people think this scene is so good. It's over-the-top and unnecessary to the plot. I always thought it was stupid and never thought the movie was so good.

Not necessarily good. It's just shocking. And new. While most movies nowadays has almost the same story, same characters, same action and CGI scenes, anything relatively new is considered good.

Which the makers of Deadpool 2 definitely missed the point. The point was that the scene was shocking and new. To recreate it would be an exercise in futility because it won't be shocking again (duh) and obviously won't be new.

Think of the "get off of car casually while it's spinning" scene in the movie RED. That was also shocking and new. It's stupid, but new. It's something. It's good. But if it to be recreated in another movie it would just be the stupid, without the new.

Which actually it did recreated. In a Bollywood movie.

Yup!
