Idiotic, selfish 'explorers' doomed Earth to death

1. They disobeyed orders to find that last capsule, that contained Calvin.

2. They brought the little thing out of it's stasis by electrocuting it, provoking a retaliatory defensive action.

3. From this moment, it's Calvin vs humanity. Now awoken, and possibly antagonised by enemies.

4. Earth's agencies, once trying to shove the space station into deeper space to cover-up and seal the story forever, should have been aware of a module in our atmosphere and sent standby emergency security teams to wipe it out upon re-entry, or soon after.
After all, Miranda's 'secret' mission was to ensure that Calvin never makes it to earth? So the top brass and agencies MUST have been aware of this potential danger.
