Thank you for saying that I was watching the movie thinking this alien looks like something I've seen before and now I remember and I love The Faculty lol.

Kinda had dat fuzzy, cuddly feel. Wud def get plush toy of alien.

Its back looks like a vagina... lol. You could say Life is prequel to The Faculty hehe.

Not seen the faculty, i did want to say that I felt they spoiled the movie somewhat by 'giving' the alien a kinda face and mischievous look. I think it's most terrifying form was when it was actually small and attacking Ryan Renolds. When it killed the hamster/rat, it didn't look terrifying, just crushed and absorbed it, i think that gave it a higher level of 'alien' about it rather than becoming glamorized octopus.

It reminded me of the aliens in Prey (video game) released a few months ago.

It reminded me of a tissue or plastic bag that then, as it developed, had got tangled on an octopus.
I can’t believe they had to make it seem like it had a little face too lol.

Yes, and also the alien that attacks the engineer in Prometheus (in the end).
