That Dante chase in the tunnel...
Am I the only one thinking Dante's car sounded like a Tie Fighter passing by? Literally sounded like they ripped it from Star Wars.

shareI noticed that as well, but I figured that it was the sound of all the cars mixing together and bouncing off the tunnel walls (including an echo) that made it sound like that. Like sound trickery. Things can sound differently in different settings. So I shrugged it off. I told myself, "you just want to hear a TIE fighter" and/or "you are hearing something that really isn't there." I thought of it as maybe like how our eyes try to see a face in something like a building/house (eyes, nose, and mouth mainly), only it's a sound/audio version.
share100 percent. Star Wars sounds actually show up in a lot of movies. George Lucas' movie house used to do work for all sorts of people. I'm assuming that still happens even though Disney owns it now.
The sound I hear used the most is when the Millenium Falcon stalls out and fails to start. They roll that thing out every time a big machine fails.
