Momoa's character....a little over the top

It seems like he was trying to tune into his best Joker impersonation. His character in general felt very out of place compared to the other antagonists in previous films. He was hellbent yet whimsical, but couldn't convince me enough that he was actually psychotic. I think the movie could've also done a better job at highlighting how he masterminded the entire operation with Aimes. They both seemed like bron over brain.

The scene with the nail polishing and taped up face dead guys was excellent!

True story:- just left the cinema and turned the corner, walking along when this big dude, baggy pants and daft, open shirt comes walking towards us from the other direction. "Watch out - here comes Jason Momoa!" I cried! Everyone burst out laughing, fantastic moment...

He was annoying as fuck. I don't get the praise he got as the highlight of FX

Was he homosexual ? He acted as if he was the receiver.

reply

Maybe but I didn't get any homo vibes. I think the directors wanted to convey him just being a crazed loon with possibly gender dissociation thrown into the mix.

So no anal?

Get out of here with that mess!

I think the problem is he was only a little over the top. They didn't go far enough. They made him too weird instead of just bonkers psychotic. I thought they had it just right when he was simply taking exuberant joy in the mayhem he was creating. But who knows, maybe he gets weirder and weirder in the second movie and it's all one big slow burn to full Joker. I do appreciate though that they gave Dom and the gang a proper superhero villain since they all got turned into superheroes.

The neutron bomb was over the top, nevermind the endless rolling down the hill towards the Vatican. The explosion would be tiny and it’s designed to take out people while leaving infrastructure intact.
