Skip Episode 3?

Okay, I like the show so far, but with episode 3, I'm like 4 min in; it's just unbearable. I can get on with the reasons why but nobody actually cares anyway. Without me having to justify my view, can somebody simply answer if I can skip the damn thing without it effecting the following episodes? Does it even matter? Skimming through, the whole freakin' episode is of that lady who I don't give a crap about. May as well be the guy telling George Carlin about the dinosaur turd.

You're crazy! Laurie Metcalf deserves an emmy for that episode! I'll admit I was kinda lukewarm on the first couple episodes and was on and off my phone a lot, but once I started episode 3, I was immediately hooked by her story.

Completely essential if you want to see outstanding acting from start to finish.

Completely inessential if all you care about is the plot of the series.

I don't get the issue with this episode. Sure it's different but so is the entire series and everything Louie did with it. I'm surprised if you hated the 3rd one this much you even made it that far.

Don't! You'll miss something that only comes once in awhile, a performance that stays with you days after you finish it.

I wish they release an extended version of this episode. It wasn't enough for me. I would love to spend two hours watching this woman talking. Or more if possible. It's the best acting I have seen in my whole life. She raised acting to another level.

I agree. These people who can't appreciate it don't know good acting or don't get the gist of this serious. I thought it as amazing how she kept us enthralled in the minutia of her retelling of the story. Always loved Laure Metcalf. Brilliant actress. And it does tell a lot about Horace. What's with these people so afraid that they'll lose 40 min. of their life (but spend an hour on here debating whether or not to watch)? Maybe it's because they would've spent it otherwise curing cancer or skydiving? Please.

Let me get this straight - you go on a internet board and spend arguably around an hour of your time discussing with people if you should spend 40 minutes and watch an episode of a goddamn tv show to the end?
I don't want to offend you but this is one of the more ridiculous things I encountered lately.

Was waiting for this one. Perhaps this time imagine the details as they would have actually went down and consider other values. Maybe then it'd make sense. If not, don't really care to explain myself.

What are you even replying to? How long ago was this post? Anyway, contrary to your self-involved notions, I already finished and really liked the show. I just didn't like the third episode for reasons I've expressed. Same with my friends and obviously certain others here. Take your insecurities somewhere else.
