So what will Hollywood urbanize next?

They've urbanized XXX, Annie, Death at a Funeral and now 24.

How about an urban Breakfast at Tiffany's? That would be awesome great. Or My Cousin Vinny.

reply

You forgot about The Honeymooners & Annie

reply

Jimmy Olsen, Perry White (LOL), Johnny Storm, Moneypenny...... the list goes on an on

reply

Nah next 24 will be Mexican and CTU is The Home Depot.

reply

Well, there's an Indian version of 24.

In vino veritas

reply

You can only list three or four movies that have been "urbanized." Shall we count up all the movies that have white washed?

reply

Thank you!!

reply

Nobody would want to "whitewash" any of the countless crappy urban movies out there but if they did, it could only improve them.

reply

Absolutely.

reply

Maybe have an all white Madea movie. For some reason those pieces of sh!t make money, Let some white people capitalize on it too.

I used to do drugs. I still do, but I used to, too.

reply

all the movies that have white washed?

What does "white washed" mean, exactly?

Do you perhaps mean that all the movies that aren't infested with the modern liberal/SJW "token diversity casting + tons of other miscellaneous evils" agenda? If so, those movies are probably all much better than any of the urbanized liberal/SJW crap which you cite.

reply

What does urbanized mean exactly?

the audacity at the thought that black man cant play a lead role on a television show in 2016

I don't know any urban movies that have been remade and recast with white actors.

Did they redo Boyz n the Hood and recast white people? If so, then I didn't see it. I should've watched it.

Oh wait, didn't they redo Waiting to Exhale and recast with all white female actresses? Yeah, they did! But they made it a series on HBO and called it Sex and the City.

You don't read books, do you? SatC is based on an acclaimed novel by Candace Bushnell

I couldn't believe when I read his filmography that he played a toilet (no joke) in According to Jim

reply

They forgot Sanford and Son.

reply

Also...how can they urbanize XXX when both the original and the sequel had a person of color lead the movie?

reply

Completely LMAO @ Mexicans standing outside Home Depot looking for work. I thought that was only where I lived. I guess it must be countrywide!!

reply

Why I don't have cable to and don't spend money on liberal hollywood garbage movies anymore.

Gentlemen! Have you no sense of decency?

reply

Look at all these red neck white trash squirming in their mouth because a black guy is in lead on a fcking tv show. Lmao.

reply

You wouldn't be "LMAO" if the situation was reversed I bet.

reply

Because white people already get all the roles, you stupid *beep*

reply

Its just another trend that will die soon.

reply

I'm no SJP, but why say "urbanize" when you really mean "blackify"? If you don't want to see projects reimagined with black casts, then there is no reason for you to be p.c. with a b.s. expression like "urbanize".

"Blackify" sounds racist and I don't want to be a racist. Otherwise this will happen to me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7yYARGFKbM

reply

Okay I'll say it... they are "blackifying" the show. Happy now?

reply

Agreed. "Urbanize" doesn't make much sense. All races live in an urban areas. When I think of "urbanize", I think of increasing density and development in an area. The OP could probably find a better PC word to describe what he thinks.

reply

I think by urbanize, the OP meant that they were switching the show to the ghetto/'hood/gangsta type of lifestyle.
