Its rating low because it has a black lead.

I wont watch any show or movie where they replace a white star with a black one. Or a female one. Or an Hispanic one. I LOATHE PC.

I just watched the second ep and yes, the show isn't very good. The writing is actually kind of crappy, and these actors aren't so great. Jimmy Smits is awesome. The brother is good. Everybody else.... eh. The lead, he's just not leading man material. Skin color ain't got nothing to do with it. The last few seasons of 24 weren't exactly tearing up the ratings either. The premise is kind of played out.

Two main reasons contribute to the low ratings:

1. The show is not very good.

2. The show has an unknown black lead.

YOU CAN'T REPLACE KEIFER!

The 24 gimmick is just played out. It was so played out after 8 seasons that the show wasn't even meant to end at the end of Season 8 and yet they tapped out halfway through because of ratings and just how shìtty the show became. 24: Live Another Day was supposed to conclude it and then that was a let down at the end.

This show has the same format except it doesn't have Jack Bauer to keep people interested. It has generic, uncharismatic black guy as its lead.
