Take away the Black lead auto-one stars and it's in the 8's. Any 24 fan will probably enjoy it.

I wont watch any show or movie where they replace a white star with a black one. Or a female one. Or an Hispanic one. I LOATHE PC.

But blacks are only 12.8% of us and don't belong in EVERY show. Especially when show previously had popular white lead. Pure tokenism.

Who even cares about that? It's 2017, complaining about someones skin color is so 1950.

What's wrong with the show is that it's a disastrous mix of cliches and generic material. It's awful, I don't even understand how they got funded to create this. Did nobody read the "script"? Every plot so far has been so predictable and generic it's physically painful to watch it. The only reason I even watched episode 2 was that someone say it was so much better than the first on this forum yesterday. It was most likely a troll.

Did you watch the original series? It became so predictable / cliched it spawned a whole bunch of parodys and memes making funny of the fact. That's 24 - it does the same thing every season and people come back to watch en masse. Please don't pretend this show has been anything but a cash grab for cheap action / emotions. That's why I love it and the new series is no different.

I agree, 24 was always a fun popcorn action show, but when you step back and actually think about the plot, the show falls to pieces. I watched the first 2 eps and it was not great, you guys are right, it's too predictable.

It's a different character. If they tried to pass the guy off as "Jack Baur", THAT would be a mistake. (Ex. Jimmy Olsen, Perry White, James West, Iris Allen......).
